Mr. Jason Carver of ERMR represented the
operator and accompanied the inspection.
The weather was hot,dry and sunny.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1):
Mine records are stored in the meeting building files. Availability of Records form accompanies this
inspection report.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
SP2 was inspected. The stock tank is dry but the bottom of the stock tank has a good stand of grass.
Irrigation tail water has made it to SP2 and encouraged the establishment of grasses on the bottom of the stock
tank. In spite of the dry conditions,perennial species are becoming established on the stock tank inslopes. Several
individual knapweed plants were observed on the embankment of sP2 near the spillway. Noxious weed
management of these plants is needed to assure these noxious weeds do not become well established or spread.
No gullies or other erosional features were noted at SP2
Pond 12 was dry with adequate vegetation on the inslopes and bottom of the pond. No problems were noted with
Pond 12.
The baffles in Pond 13 are holding up well. The baffles appear to be functional at slowing the flow through Pond
13. Inflow to Pond 13 was read on the inflow meters; 415 gpm CC ditch water inflow, plus 164 gpm and 68 gpm
(232 gpm) inflow to Pond 13 from the Trench drain, for a total of 647 gpm into Pond 13. Pond weeds were
already starting to grow in the first 3 "cells"west from the inflow. These are not true pond cells, since there is
flow between the "cells"and they are not completely separate. This seemed the easiest description to describe the
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 2 of 9
