Tony Tennyson of Elk Ridge Mining and <br /> Reclamation represented the operator and accompanied the inspection. Mr. Dan McKinnon and Ms.Brook Zeller <br /> of OSMRE accompanied the inspection as a Federal oversight inspection. <br /> The weather was clear and dry,with a cold breeze. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The CC ditch is not yet flowing for the irrigation season. Tony noted that the ditch water is anticipated to <br /> come in after April 15th. As such,none of the irrigated pastures,or cropland has begun to be irrigated. <br /> SP2 was dry, and the vegetation is beginning to become established. Vegetative cover remains this at this stage, <br /> but the perennial species are emerging on the regraded slopes. No erosional features were noted. <br /> Pond 12 was dry and well vegetated. Pond 13 was holding a steady pool of water. The baffles are in place and <br /> appear to be functioning well. The aeration screen had been cleaned the previous week according to Tony. Inflow <br /> was measured on the inflow gauges as 173 gpm +32.6 gpm=205.6 gpm. The outflow at the Pond 13 discharge <br /> flume measured 0.36. The discharge was clear and did not exhibit any noticeable sulfur smell. Tuttle draw was <br /> flowing clear without noticeable sediment. ERMR had a notice posted regarding application for additional GW <br /> right appropriation. (photo) <br /> Pond 16 was dry with adequate vegetation on the inslopes.
