Baseline vegetation monitoring (Section 7), occurred on 273.6 acres of rangelands in F and L pits that <br /> had been topsoiled and seeded between 2018 and 2020. No vegetation monitoring is envisioned for <br /> 2022. <br /> The Division reviewed the above referenced report, and found that it adequately meets the Rules cited <br /> above. DRMS does however have one adequacy question as follows: <br /> DRMS 1 April 2022 <br /> Acres disturbed should not be greater than the sum of <br /> o Acreage in active mining <br /> o Backfill and grading <br /> o Long term facilities acres. <br /> 1. The 2021 ARR indicates a 4.1 acre increase in acres disturbed, when summing the above components. It is <br /> not clear to DBMS where this increase in acreage derives.
