1000LORADO
.0 Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1 April 2022
Graham Roberts
Trapper Mine,Inc.
P.O.Box 187
Craig,Colorado 81626
RE: Trapper Mining Inc,Permit; C1981010
Adequacy Review,Preliminary: 2021 Annual Reclamation Report (ARR),and TR129
Dear Mr. Roberts
The Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(The Division),received Trapper Mine's 2021
Annual Reclamation report(2021 ARR),TR129 on 15 March 2021 via electronic submission. The report
contains all the information required by Rule 2.04.13(1) and (2). The Division found the application
complete on 17 March 2022. No field verification of backfilled and graded topography as per Map 1
(M1),is necessary as no reclamation tasks were undertaken in 2021 at Trapper Mine. Therefore,DRMS
verified the topography by comparing the currently approved post mining topography(PMT),of Map
M12,with Mapl submitted with the ARR.
A bond release inspection for SL23, a partial Phase III (265.5 acres), release, took place on 6
October 2021. The bond release decision was issued 8 January 2022.
The Reclamation Summary Table;Table 1.1 of Section 1, summarizes all reclamation activities achieved in 2021.
The Section 1.2.1 of the report indicated that disturbance totaling 33.6 acres in the form of topsoil stripping
and redisurbance of Phase III occurred in conjunction with N pit activities. Backfilling, grading, topsoiling
and seeding did not occur according to the 2021 annual report year. The DRMS form submitted
corroborates these values.
DRMS found that the current PMT map corroborates the contours of the ARR Maps.
Rule 2.04.13(1):
The name and address of the permittee is provided.
The location and number of acres disturbed during 2021 are discussed in Section 1.2.1 in Appendix W.
The report indicated that disturbance totaling 33.6 in the form of topsoil stripping in L Pit and
redisturbance associated with N Pit activities occurred in 2021.
Previously Phase III bond released lands were redisturbed in 2021. The Redisturbance Reclamation
Summary Table; Table 1.2 of Section 1, summarizes areas of redisturbance by parcel.
4F COlO
Physical: 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 `_ =
Mailing: DRMS Room 215, 1001 E 62nd Ave, Denver, CO 80216 https://drms.colorado.gov
Jared S.
