See the Mining Plan Map in Exhibit C for Cells and <br />phases to be mined. <br />6.6 Deposit <br />As described in Sub-section 6.4.4(f) of the Rules and Regulations, narrative and figures are <br />provided in this section to describe the deposit. Figure 1 provides a generalized cross- <br />section of the deposit. <br />The deposit to be mined is the Big Thompson River alluvium, which consist of <br />unconsolidated silt, sand, and gravels. The deposit ranges from approximately 25 to 28 <br />feet thick and is overlain by approximately 1 to 2 feet of sandy to clay loam topsoil. A <br />conceptual cross-section though the site is shown in Figure 1. <br />The stratum below the target deposit consists of a weathered shale bedrock. <br />6.7 Commodities <br />Sub-section 6.4.4(g) of the Rules and Regulations requires that the applicant identify the <br />primary and secondary commodities to be mined/extracted and describe the intended use. <br />The primary commodities to be mined are gravel, sand, and fill. The material will be used <br />as aggregate in concrete and construction materials. <br />6.8 Incidental Products <br />LRM does not plan to produce any incidental products, and thus, there is no information to <br />report under Sub-section 6.4.4(h) of the Rules and Regulations. <br />6.9 Explosives <br />The Rules and Regulations require a description of the use of explosives [Sub-Section <br />6.4.4(i)]. No explosives will be used in conjunction with the mining (or reclamation) on <br />this site
