In the
November submittal this value was 4,000 cfs. Please explain why this changed
considerably.
Response 6
The river flow rate at which water begins to enter Cell 3 changed significantly between the
November and the February submittals because the control of flows entering the pits was
revised between these two submittals. Specifically for Cell 3, as discussed in Response 5,
a pit inlet weir was added to the north and northwest sides of the pit and the inlet weir on
the northeastern corner of the pit was modified. This pit inlet weir effectively serves to
prevent river water from entering Cell 3 at the northeastern corner at relatively low flow
rates.

Sincerely,
Telesto Solutions, Inc.

Walter L.
