Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> CONVOENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Colowyo Mine conducted by Zach Trujillo of Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation,Mining and Safety(DRMS)on March 1,2022.Tom Fry representing Colowyo Coal Company <br /> (Colowyo)accompained the inspection. The weather for inspection was celar with partially snow covered ground. <br /> High temperatures during the inspection were around 40 degrees fahrenheit. This inspection primarily focused <br /> around the Collom Pit and associated facilities.Access along the western portion of Collom were limited due snow <br /> depths. <br /> EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09 <br /> Placement;Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br /> The Collom Temporary Spoil Pile was inspected.No active spoil placement was occurring at the time of the <br /> inspection.The pile is stable and within the approved disturbance boundary. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Elk and deer were observed throughout the site during the inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ponds inspected at the Collom Pit include Section 26, Section 25,Middle and Section 36 Ponds. Sidehill Pond was <br /> not inspected due to access issues from snow depths.All Collom ponds inspected held water at the time of the <br /> inspection. Section 25 and 26 were not discharging at the time of the inspection while Section 36 and Middle <br /> Ponds were. Section 25 Pond is still undergoing maintenance to fix leak issues with the primary discharge. Water <br /> levels have been pumped and maintained below the primary spillway inlet to ensure water stays within the pond. <br /> All Collom ponds were stable and no issues were observed. <br /> The Stoker Siding and Gossard Ponds were inspected.These ponds collect disturbed runoff associated with the <br /> Gossard Loadout.Both ponds held water at the time of the inspection and no issues were observed. The Rail Loop <br /> Pond,which is also associated with the loadout,was not inspected due access being cut off from active train <br /> loading activities. <br /> Collom Ditches D1, D2, D3 and D4 were inspected. Of the ditches inspected all but D2 were inppected from <br />
