Safe parking procedures (chock blocks, etc.) shall be used at all times. X <br /> All lights, horns, brakes, wipers, back-up alarms and other safety equipment X <br /> shall be fully operational at all times. <br /> Each piece of equipment shall have at least one portable fire extinguisher. X <br /> All mobile equipment, with the exception of pickup trucks with unrestricted rear X <br /> view, will beequipped with back-up alarms. <br /> Mobile equipment shall be equipped with roll-over-protection (ROPS) and/or X <br /> falling object protection structures (FOPS) as required by MSHA regulations. <br /> All machinery shall be secured to ensure zero mechanical potential prior to X <br /> work being performed on the machinery. <br /> Equipment shall be maintained in safe condition. X <br /> HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS <br /> Sanitary bathroom facilities shall be provided and maintained. X <br /> Sanitary potable water facilities shall be provided and maintained. X <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL: LIQUID WASTES <br /> Methods approved by Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br /> shall be used to prevent spill hazards at bulk storage areas for fuels, oils, or X <br /> other fluids. <br /> All used fluids will be drained into clearly marked DOT containers. X <br /> Under no circumstances will fluids be allowed to drain onto the ground. X <br /> Equipment fueling and service procedures will not be performed on topsoil. X <br /> EPA Prevention and Control Procedures are to be followed in the event of an X <br /> accidental spill. <br /> All spills must be reported to Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and X <br /> Safety Personnel Immediately. <br /> Reportable spills will be handled by the CONTRACTOR in accordance with X <br /> State of Colorado And EPA regulations. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL: SOLID, NON-HAZARDOUS WASTES <br /> Construction debris and excess materials shall be disposed of in a container X <br /> clearly marked "TRASH". <br /> Trash containers must be covered at all times to prevent wind-blown litter. X <br /> Employees must be instructed by the CONTRACTOR in procedures used to X <br /> segregate hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. <br /> All disposal activities must comply with federal and state regulations. X <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL: HAZARDOUS WASTES <br /> Contractor generated wastes such as equipment/machine oils, fuels, oily <br /> debris, residue paints, solvents, and containers containing same shall be X <br /> cleaned and disposed of in compliance with all local, state, and federal <br /> regulations. <br /> All containers will have CONTRACTOR's name clearly marked on the X <br /> containers. <br /> 3/12/13 <br />
