Seed Distribution: The PROJECT MANAGER will provide the seed. An even distribution of <br /> seed over all disturbed areas is required. The seed shall be broadcast into the soil by hand raking <br /> or chain dragging, then lightly compacted to provide good seed-soil contact. <br /> Fertilizer: Biosol Plus (7-2-1), or approved equivalent,will be added to all ground surfaces <br /> disturbed during reclamation construction. This material will be applied in advance of seeding at <br /> the rate of four hundred (400)pounds per acre. It is estimated that up to 1200 pounds of Biosol <br /> Plus or approved equivalent fertilizer will be required. <br /> Watering: No water will be applied to the revegetated areas. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Revegetation will be measured to the nearest one tenth (0.1) acre and paid at the unit price per <br /> acre bid on the Bid Schedule Task 5.0. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, <br /> equipment and all other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications. <br /> Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Task 5.0 of the Bid <br /> Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. <br /> ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS <br /> There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items are not <br /> guaranteed, and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, and only after <br /> approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid items for this project include: <br /> TASK 6.0—ADDITIONAL MACHINE TIME <br /> Up to eight hours (8 hrs.) of additional compact track loader(or equivalent as approved by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER)machine time (with operator)will be used as directed by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER in accordance with Standard Work Specifications, Section 19.0 of the General Bid <br /> Specification, 2009. <br /> All equipment shall be of the type and equipped as specified above. Equipment must be in good <br /> operating condition and must be maintained in good operating condition by the CONTRACTOR <br /> throughout the life of the contract. The PROJECT MANAGER shall be the sole judge of whether <br /> equipment is or is not in "good operating condition". <br /> The numbers of hours indicated above, and on the Bid Schedule are estimated. It is impossible to <br /> determine in advance the actual number of hours that the equipment will be required to be used, <br /> or to guarantee that any equipment time will be necessary. <br /> Page 10 of 14 <br />
