Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA - Processing Waste R - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Trapper Mine; permit C1981010,operated by Trapper Mining Inc. <br /> The inspection was conducted and the report and photos prepared by me,Robin Reilley of the DRMS. <br /> Graham Roberts,Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. Skies were clear. <br /> Temperatures ranged between 20 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The air was calm,cold and dry. Coal and <br /> overburden were being hauled. Permit Revision 11 (PRI 1)is in the process of development with a <br /> proposal to open a C Pit depending on core results. Coring is proposed to begin in summer 2022. <br /> PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS.- <br /> OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE <br /> o Ditch reconstruction along the north edge of the N pit to handle surface flow. <br /> o Clearing vegetation below the flume at No Name Pond#5. <br /> INSPECTION <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Activities in the L,N and J Pits were observed and appear to be progressing as permitted. The inspection <br /> began at the west end of the site at the J pit,where higwall mining that began in January was observed. <br /> Coal hauling coal from J pit was underway. One dragline was idle at the N Pit at the time of inspection. <br /> Several benches exist in the N Pit from west to east. The N Pit floor is exposed on the west end of the Pit. <br /> The coal level has been reached at the west end of the N Pit. There are several seeps along the south and <br /> east walls of the pit that exhibited themselves as ice. Some dust rose out of the N Pit due to spoil hauling <br /> in the dry conditions. It is too cold to water roads. The highwall miner is scheduled to begin extraction in <br /> the N Pit in the near future <br /> The Molly Brown dragline was removing overburden at the top of the L Pit. Machinery was operating at <br /> the east edge of the Pit removing the last knob of overburden. Coal and overburden were being hauled <br /> from L Pit. No blasts were observed to be set up in the L Pit. <br /> SIGNS and MARKERS—Rule 4.02 <br /> o Topsoil stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs. <br /> o The mine site identification signs observed at the main mine access point,(entrance from State <br /> Highway 13),was intact, and displaying all required information: mine name,operator name, <br /> address,phone number,DRMS permit number and contact information. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> Page 2 of 9 <br />
