NO.: <br /> 01400.2 <br /> Pre-feasibility Study TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DATE: (ORIGINAL) <br /> Fremont County, Colorado GEOSYNTHETICS CONSTRUCTION QUALITY 20-October-16 <br /> PROJECT NO.: 74201633 ASSURANCE(CQA) PLAN REVISION: A <br /> DATE: 20-Oct-16 <br /> • Subgrade surface acceptance certificates for each area to be covered by the lining system, signed <br /> by the INSTALLER. <br /> The CQA MONITOR shall: <br /> • Inspect all geosynthetic materials delivered to site. The CQA MONITOR(S) shall document any <br /> damage and notify the MANAGER. <br /> • Obtain geosynthetic packaging identification slips for verification and generation of an on-site <br /> materials inventory. <br /> • Observe subgrade conditions prior to geosynthetics installation and verify that any deficiencies are <br /> corrected. <br /> • Observe permanent anchoring of geosynthetics to verify that project SPECIFICATIONS are met. <br /> • Observe that the required overlap distances are met. <br /> • Monitor and record ambient air temperatures. <br /> • Verify that no continuous horizontal seams are placed on slopes unless approved by the <br /> ENGINEER. <br /> • Observe and document that ballast and any soil materials placed on top of the geosynthetics are <br /> done in such a manner as to ensure that the geosynthetics are not damaged. <br /> 7.1 GEOMEMBRANE <br /> During geomembrane installation, the CQA MONITOR(S) shall observe and document deployment, trial <br /> seams, field seaming, non-destructive and destructive seam testing, and repairs to assess that the <br /> installation is in compliance with the SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> Deployment - The CQA MONITOR(S) shall verify that only approved materials are used, each panel is <br /> given a unique panel number, no geomembrane is placed during unsuitable weather conditions, the <br /> geomembrane is not damaged during installation, and anchoring is performed in compliance with the <br /> SPECIFICATIONS and design DRAWINGS. The CQA MONITOR(S) shall record the deployment on the <br /> deployment log form. <br /> Trial Seams - The CQA MONITOR(S) shall verify that seaming conditions are performed in compliance <br /> with the SPECIFICATIONS, tests are performed at required intervals, specified test procedures are <br /> followed, and retests are performed in compliance with the SPECIFICATIONS.
