This CQA plan was prepared for the Pre-feasibility Study for the <br /> Dawson Filtered Tailings Storage Facility (FTSF). This plan is not intended for construction or bidding <br /> purposes. <br /> This CQA plan has been developed to assure that the construction of the geosynthetic components are in <br /> compliance with the project SPECIFICATIONS. The objective of this plan is to assure that proper materials, <br /> construction techniques, and procedures are utilized by the OWNER/CONTRACTOR and that the intent of <br /> the design is met. <br /> This plan addresses quality assurance (QA), and not quality control (QC). This CQA Plan is independent <br /> of any QC programs conducted by the INSTALLER. The intent of the CQA Plan is to provide verification <br /> and testing of construction materials and to demonstrate that the INSTALLER has met the requirements of <br /> the project DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. Quality control is provided by the INSTALLER and refers <br /> to those actions taken by the INSTALLER to ensure that materials and workmanship meet the requirements <br /> of the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF PARTIES <br /> The following Section provides descriptions of the parties to this CQA Plan including their responsibilities <br /> and qualifications. <br /> OWNER: In this CQA Plan, OWNER refers specifically to Zephyr Gold USA Ltd. (Zephyr). Zephyr is the <br /> OWNER and will operate the Dawson FTSF and other site features. <br /> MANAGER: In this CQA Plan, MANAGER is the official representative of the OWNER, appointed by the <br /> OWNER, and is responsible for all construction activities including oversight and direction during <br /> construction. MANAGER is also responsible for coordinating construction and CQA activities for the <br /> project.
