Exhibit D Mining Plan (cont)
In November 2018 an amendment was filed and approved on
9/24/2019, to add 21 .25 acres that included the Asphalt Plant
area, the concrete plant area and added area to the south end of
the West area include all land owned by McAtee Construction Com-
pany to the permit area. Total permit area 107 . 60 acres±.
On July 21, 2021 a partial release request was filed to
release 5 . 00 acre along the west side of the East lake area that
McAtee traded to the Town of Sterling to connect lands Sterling
owns along the east side of the mines with street access and for
trail construction along the South Platte River. Total permit
area 102 . 60 acres .
This amendment adds 8 . 42 acres of land immediately south of
Lake Marjorie that McAtee Construction Company acquired in the
land swap/purchase with the Town of Sterling. With this addition
the new permit area will be 111 . 02 acres ±.
The current bond is $175, 000 and a new reclamation cost
estimate is presented in Exhibit L on page 19 of this application.
Existing sloping, grading and shaping plans will apply to the new
area since they are similar to the areas now in the permit . All
bank sloping and much of the seeding is complete in Lake Robert
that was impacted by flooding in 2013 leaving only a minor amount
of final grading and revegetation along the west side of the lake
remaining.
REVISION 1 - Acreage added to Permit
This amendment essential adds area to extend the life of the
mine and replaces the small area removed what was sold to the Town
of Sterling. It adds 8 . 42 acres to the permit area along the
south end of Lake Marjorie and for sake of discussion it is la-
beled as the "Amendment Area 2021" .
All map exhibits have been revised and updated to show the
existing permit area (after the partial release) and the amendment
area. On the Current Conditions Map - Map Exhibit C the yellow
outline is the new permit area and the green outline is the amend-
ment area. This map was updated to show the current conditions
included the mined areas, active stockpile areas and Plant Sites .
It includes the reclaimed or partially reclaimed areas as of this
time . In the existing permit area, Map Exhibit C-1 - Mining Plan
Map shows how we think the site will look when mining progresses
from where it is currently taking place in the East Lake areas and
has expands to the east and south. The Amendment area that is now
part of Lake Marjorie will be mined when the rest of that area is
mined to total depth. The Reclamation Plan shows how we antici-
pated the site will look when mining is complete .
The new area will become part of the Plant Site and material
stockpile area in the near future. When stripped and cleared any
soil recovered will be stockpile around the disturbed area for use
in reclamation.
MCATEE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY RIVERSIDE PIT
PERMIT#M-1976-056 AMENDMENT 1/14/2022
6
