3.3 Other State Agencies <br /> OSMI has several state-issued permits for water and air as well as programs for addressing waste <br /> management and chemical usage. <br /> 3.3.1 Water <br /> - CDPS permit number CO-0000003 issued by the Water Quality Control Division <br /> (WQCD) establishes the discharge limits and environmental controls for the five- <br /> stage passive mine water treatment system. Mine water is treated in the passive <br /> system. <br /> - Stormwater Permit No. COR-040289. OSMI maintains several stormwater run-on <br /> and runoff control features at the site. Quarterly inspections are completed in <br /> accordance with the permit certification. Stormwater best management practices <br /> (BMPs) are detailed in the site Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP). <br /> - Potable Water Permit No. CO-0246283. OSMI supplies potable water to its <br /> employees at the mine site. Groundwater is treated with a chlorination system located <br /> at the main office and mill. <br /> 3.3.2 Air <br /> - An Air Pollution Emission Notice (APEN)is on file with the Colorado Air Pollution <br /> Control Division.
