This reservoir is located primarily
in the SW1/4 of Section 33, Township 8 North, Range 69 West of the 61h P.M. and is a part of the Treiber
Lakes gravel pit (DRMS M-2011-049). Treiber B Pond was lined with a soil bentonite slurry wall. The slurry
wall leak test commenced on June 14, 2016 and concluded on September 12, 2016. Site inspection was
performed by our office on July 26, 2016 to review site conditions and the leak test plan.
Your report received on September 14, 2016 provides the liner summary and leak test result. The test
data provided indicates that the reservoir has been lined to the design standard referenced in the
August 1999 State Engineer Guidelines for Lining Criteria for Gravel Pits (1999 SEO Guidelines). Meeting
the design standard requires that during reservoir operations all water inflows and outflows for the
liner perimeter enclosed area be accounted for on a monthly basis.
With this liner approval, the Treiber B Pond is now classified as a lined reservoir in accordance with the
1999 SEO Guidelines. Water shall not be impounded in the reservoir except pursuant to lawful diversions
allowed by statute or decree. At all other times, all inflow of water into the reservoir from any source,
including precipitation and ground water inflows shall be removed to prevent illegal storage of water.
Prior to ANY use of this site, the owner or operator will need to coordinate with Mark Simpson, District 3
Water Commissioner, to review operations, measurement structures, stage-storage curves, and
accounting.
Please contact me at the number below if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
4a&'0'
loana Comaniciu, P.E.
Water Resource Engineer
ec: Mark Simpson, District 3 Water Commissioner (Mark.Simpson@state.co.us))
Louis Flink, Diversion Records Coordinator (Louis.FlinkCstate.co.us)
WDID File (0303042, 0303323)
OF Cc-)"
I e to
1313 Sherman Street, Room 821, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3581 F 303,866.3585 www.water.state.co.us
` 187.
