Treiber B is located downstream of Treiber A and upstream of the future Currie A. The pond
currently does not have any inlet or outlet infrastructure. Treiber B is currently storing water
and is expected to be dewatered in October, 2014, for construction of the Treiber A to
Treiber B interconnect. Topographic data was not provided to GEI for Treiber B.
1.3 Scope of Work
GEI was retained by the Tri-Districts to develop designs for the Overland Pond/Treiber
Reservoir interconnects. A summary of the scope of work performed by GEI for this work is
presented below:
• Design an energy dissipation system for the outfall of the 24-inch HDPE in
Overland Ponds Pond 1;
•, Design intake and energy dissipation systems for the existing 26-inch HDPE pipe
in Overland Ponds Pond 2;
• Design the intake and energy dissipation systems associated with the existing 25-
inch interconnect between Overland Ponds Pond 2 and Overland Ponds Pond 3;
• Design the interconnect pipeline between Treiber A and Treiber B and associated
intake and energy dissipation structures;
• Design the interconnect pipeline between Overland Ponds Pond 2 and Treiber B
and associated intake and energy dissipation structures;
• Prepare Construction Drawings and Specifications; and
• Prepare a Design Report documenting the designs of the structures and pipelines.
1.4 Authorization
GEI performed the services described in this report under the terms and conditions of the
agreement between GEI and the Tri-Districts dated May 23, 2014.
1.5 Project Personnel
The following GEI personnel were primarily responsible for performing the project analyses
and designs and for preparing this report:
Project Manager: Jeremy Deuto, PG, EIT
Engineer of Record/Structural Engineer: Paul Eggers, PE
Water Resources Engineer: Kerri Price, PE
Geotechnical Engineer: Andrew Lockman, PG
Project Reviewer: Chad Masching, PE
The tunneling/subsurface investigations were conducted by Brierley Associates under a
subcontract to GEI.
GEI Consultants,Inc.
