Vegetation sampling used the randomly found point-intercept method on nine parcels of the A/B
reclamation block performed the summers of 2020 and 2021 by Osborn Industries. Three parcels of Pit A
(91.6 acres) were reclaimed between 2009 and 2011,three parcels within Pit F (92.8 acres)were reclaimed
2009 thru 2011,two parcels within Pit K(75.4 acres)were reclaimed 2010 through 2011, and three small
parcels in Z pit(5.7 acres) were reclaimed in 2010. Ms. Reilley, of DRMS, will verify the results of the
sampling analyses required to meet the plant diversity, production, and density standards within the
specified parcels.
Findings and Observations:
Ms. Reilley and I arrived at the Trapper Mine office at 8:10 a.m., changed into field equipment, and then
entered the office to meet with Mr. Roberts and the other inspectors representing the BLM and the State
Land Board.
We began the inspections in the A-B-10 parcels. Each of us walked independently through this parcel. The
reclamation was well graded, and tied in with the surrounding landscape (e.g.tying into the upslope
reclamation to the south and the drainage to the north down to creek elevation). Plant growth was thick, hardy, and varied (e.g. sage, brome, various
2
