Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection conducted y Janet Bums and Travis Marshall of CDRMS. Mr. Cliff Chiles <br /> represented the operator,Elk Ridge Mining and Reclamation,and accompanied the inspection. <br /> The weather was mild and clear. The mine site has been dry. The CC ditch stopped flow in early October, so no <br /> irrigation was currently occurring. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were checked in the New Horizon Mine office. Records were mostly up to date. The operator <br /> provided proof of the current liability insurance certificate before the inspector left the site. This document needs <br /> to be filed in the inspection notebook. The operator needs to print out and file July,August and September DRMS <br /> inspection reports in the notebook. These reports are available on laserfiche. However,it is helpful if the operator <br /> can access them easily. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies <br /> 4.14.6: <br /> The area south and southeast of Pond 13 (Johnson tract),remains rough graded. The operator has <br /> scheduled a meeting with the Division to discuss plans for final grading and drainage management for this area in <br /> early December. The Division accepts this delay in final grading for this area. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ponds and ditches throughout the permit area were inspected: <br /> SP2 was dry. Cliff had treated knapweed on the embankment in October. The knapweed plants appeared dead. <br /> ERMR should follow up in the spring to assure that this area does no re-sprout with noxious weed species. The <br /> perennial cover seeded on the SP2 area was beginning to become established.
