4 November 2021 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> SIGNS and MARKERS Rule 4.02 <br /> o Topsoil stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs. <br /> o Pond identification signs were prominently displayed in the vicinity of the ponds visited and were <br /> in adequate repair at the time of inspection. <br /> ROADS Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3);Drainage 4.03.1(4)14.03.2(4);Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br /> and(6)14.03.2(5) and(6);Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7) <br /> o Although main haul roads wet,muddy and rutted in places due to numerous recent rainy days, <br /> they were in good repair and well maintained at the time of inspection. <br /> o Access roads were for the most part inaccessible throughout the site due to steepness in the <br /> slippery and muddy conditions. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES Rule 4.04 <br /> o The Ash Pit exhibited a soft surface due to recent rains. The surface had rivulets in places from <br /> water flowing across the surface. <br /> o On west face of the Ash Pit tires are piled and need to be spread out so no voids exist on <br /> compaction. <br /> o A new lift is in the process of being constructed in an area just south of the current lift. <br /> o Waste accumulation site was orderly and contained. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3;Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6;Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid <br /> and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> Unless otherwise noted,pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. Most ponds are at <br /> the bottom of steep access roads and due to the saturated soil conditions these access roads were for the <br /> most part inaccessible at the time of inspection. <br /> a) No Name 92 and 94 held water. <br /> b) Middle Pyeatt system held water. <br /> c) East Pyeatt 91 held water and dredging had been completed. <br /> d) East Pyeatt 92 was undergoing dredging at time of inspection. <br /> e) East Pyeatt 93 was full and no inflow was occurring although it was discharging clear <br /> water at the time of inspection. <br /> f) Impoundment H was holding water <br /> g) Middle Flume 93 was viewed from above and held water. <br /> h) East Middle Flume held water. <br /> i) East Fume was dry at the time of inspection. <br /> TOPSOIL RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> o No instability or Tilling were noted on the observed topsoil piles.
