processing equipment is also used and would be mobilized from and demobilized towards, all
movement of that traffic will be West on SH-160. See figure 7.2.
The limits of this study include CR-600 for at least one mile in both directions, and for certain
analysis, 3.785 miles South to SH-160 (the terminus of CR-600). Except for haul to a property
immediately accessible from CR-600 by driveway or by numbered/named street in a subdivision
immediately served by that local street/road connecting to CR-600 (estimated to be less than
2.5% of all hauls within the limits of this study). H-151 from the CR-F.50 intersection to the CR-
7.30 intersection. Supporting traffic is also unlikely to originate in or travel from this operation to
any of those areas, unless an employee or contractor or inspector actually lives in one of the
residences connected to CR-600. Thus, there is no reason to assume that any significant
amount of traffic generated by the operation will use any of these entry points. This is due to a
lack of need for significant amounts of gravel or sand and due to a lack of persons having
employment at the operations who would live at these locations.
Based on known demand for sand and gravel in Archuleta and Hinsdale Counties and
potentially those areas of Mineral County accessible off SH-160 on the west side of Wolf Creek
Pass, and based on known existing sources of sand and gravel in the region, approximately
90% of material shipped from the site will be hauled south to SH-1 60 and then assumed to go
either east and west on that highway to project sites in Archuleta and the edges of Mineral and
La Plata Counties.
Support, administrative and employee (miner)traffic is assumed to be coming primarily from the
South.
Figure M4A-4.1.
