EXHIBIT G — Water Information
SUMMARY: There is no surface water on the site. There is no known water table on the site. There are no sources
of water(public or private)on the site. This operation is expected to neither directly nor indirectly affect surface and
ground water systems. No irrigated land exists so none will be dried up. Water for dust control, aggregate washing (if
done), and other mining uses, will be purchased from off-site sources and hauled to the site for use.The operator or
landowner may apply to drill a well on-site for commercial/industrial and/or agricultural use in the future. The mining
and reclamation as planned has no reasonable potential to significantly and adversely impact on surface or
groundwater quality or quantity. Reclamation may leave small incised basins for infiltration and evaporation of runoff.
GENERAL CONCEPT:
1. This operation, in the same manner as the proceeding operation to produce construction materials for
Ranch use only, is allowed to have discharges authorized by CDPHE-WQCD General Permit COG-500000.
The current edition of this Permit expires on 31 December 2021 and therefore a renewal application (notice
of intent)will be required at that time. See Section G-1.
2. The primary control measure/best management practice(BMP)for both process water and storm water is
preventing the surface discharge of ANY water from the affected areas, while also limiting run-on of surface
water, up to and including a 100-year-frequency(1%)storm event(3.7 inches in 24 hours).
3. Although there is no proposed surface water discharge from the operation, the operator is filing for coverage
under the above General Permit and this surface water management plan provides information as required
by that permit. Therefore, this exhibit contains information required for the federal-required storm water
pollution prevention plan (SW3P or SWPPP)and the state-required storm water management plan (SWMP)
in accordance with CDPHE-WPCD guidelines and the General Permit terms and conditions.
FIGURE G-1.
