Walstrum Spur Amendment, Exhibit E—Reclamation Plan revised September 2021
EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN
as ,
is
Planting on reclaimed slopes (2019) Bighorn Ram on revegetated slope(2020)
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Reclamation Plan for the Walstrum Spur Amendment (Spur Amendment) and Existing Walstrum Quarry
(Existing Quarry) is presented in this Exhibit. DRMS Guidance from Rule 1: General Provisions and Requirements
—Permit Process, Section 6.4.5 Exhibit E Reclamation Plan is shown in italics for each section. Future reclamation
types and methods will look similar in many cases to reclamation that has already been completed in the Existing
Quarry. See Appendix E-1 for pictures of reclamation examples from the Existing Quarry.
Overall, Albert Frei & Sons firmly believes that this Spur Amendment Reclamation Plan:
• contributes economically to Clear Creek County and the people of the state by providing employment, tax
revenue, and construction aggregates for housing and other vital infrastructure
• fosters the development of an economically sound and stable mining and construction materials industry
• encourages the orderly development of the state's natural resources while reclaiming the land so that the
affected land may be put to a beneficial use while protecting wildlife and aquatic resources
• promotes the diversity of game species by protecting, creating, and rehabilitating wildlife habitat
2.0 RECLAMATION TYPES, ACREAGES, AND METHODS
6.4.5(2) The Reclamation Plan shall include provisions for, or satisfactory explanation of, all general requirements
for the type of reclamation proposed to be implemented by the Operator/Applicant. Reclamation shall be required
on all the affected land. The Reclamation Plans shall include:
6.4.5(2)(a)A description of the type(s)of reclamation the Operator/Applicant proposes to achieve in the reclamation
of the affected land, why each was chosen, the amount of acreage accorded to each, and a general discussion of
methods of reclamation as related to the mechanics of earthmoving.
The Reclamation Plan for the Spur Amendment/Existing Quarry includes four reclamation types:
• Wildlife Habitat(Undisturbed Area)
• Privately-Owned Natural Resource Area
• Industrial/Commercial/Public Gathering
• Developed Water Resources
The reclamation map shown in Exhibit F (F-1) depicts the reclamation type for each area.
A summary of the planned post-mining land use acreage is presented in Table E-1 below.
DTETRA TECH P a g e 1 1 7
