Here are some of the most noteworthy ones. <br /> Zephyr has stated that electrical power utility connections to the mining locations are available from Black Hills <br /> Energy,who owns the local substation and power lines,yet they haven't secured an easement from the BLM to <br /> route electric supply lines to the mining locations. <br /> Zephyr has also stated that telephone and internet lines will be made available to the mining location by a local <br /> provider in Canon City,yet once again Zephyr hasn't secured the required permit from the BLM to cross public <br /> land with these communication lines. <br /> A large subdivision, Dawson Ranch,lies just east of the proposed mining area.A big concern of many property <br /> owners in the vicinity of the mining location is the use of Temple Canyon Road as a haul road to and from the <br /> mining location.Temple Canyon road is a narrow,winding gravel road,and it already has problems with <br /> erosion,washboarding,and limited maintenance. I know this firsthand,as I travel Temple Canyon road <br /> frequently in my work as a professional fly fishing guide.Zephyr has stated that the haul road(CR3)will <br /> accommodate hauling and support two-way traffic, but I would challenge any civil engineer to figure out a way <br /> large haul trucks could safely navigate the sharp winding curves on the road,while allowing the public use of <br /> the road. For Zephyr to reroute the existing road would require a massive road construction project,and it <br />
