August 25, 2021 C-1981-035/King Coal Mine LJW <br />Barn Area <br />The laydown yard and turn around area associated with Technical Revision 30 was observed. The vegetation has <br />been cleared, storm water control and sedimentation prevention features were installed and equipment is being <br />stored in the area. This area is in good condition and functioning as designed, no evidence of erosion or <br />sedimentation was observed. Photos Seven and Eight show the barn area. <br />King II Area <br />The King II sediment pond was observed and in good condition. Standing water was observed in the pond as a <br />result of ongoing operations, recent precipitation and water line repairs to the potable water line that had taken <br />place the day before the inspection. The Pond can be seen in Photo Nine. The pond was not discharging at the <br />time of the inspection, and no evidence of recent discharge was noted. The downstream conveyances are well <br />vegetated and show no evidence of recent flows. <br />The Clear Water Ditch at the King II facility contained evidence of recent flows but showed no signs of erosion or <br />sedimentation. All internal culverts and water conveyances were fucntioning as designed and clear from <br />obstructions. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Throughout the King I and II areas evidence of chemical and mechanical weed maintenance was noted. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Page 3 of 8 <br />
