Rule 33iavef Pit #1 August 2021 <br /> 9' , <br /> 1.3.1.2 Planned Material Storage Area <br /> Proposed material stockpile areas will include equipment, pipes, and construction materials. <br /> This area will change depending upon the phase of mining, but generally within the <br /> Operations Pad area as depicted on Exhibit B, Figure 3. Overburden, and stockpiled <br /> material to be screened will be placed away from the active mining locations on the bottom <br /> of the pit floor as depicted in Exhibit D3 and D4, Figures 12 and 13. <br /> 1.3.1.3 Planned Topsoil Storage Area <br /> The planned topsoil storage areas were calculated assuming that 1 foot of topsoil material <br /> will be cut during each stage over the limits of disturbed area (LDA), corresponding to <br /> approximately 29,105 cubic yards (CY) in Stage 1 and 14,036 CY in Stage 2. It was <br /> assumed that the topsoil stockpile will be a cone with 2:1 side slope, corresponding to a <br /> footprint of 0.95 acres in Stage 1 and 0.58 acres in Stage 2. The location of the topsoil <br /> storage pile(s) will be determined during the site preparation activities and placed outside of <br /> the mining footprint as well as any wetland or tailwater channel buffer areas. <br /> 1.3.1.4 Total Parcel Size <br /> The Rifle Pit#1 Property Boundary/parcel size is 58.7 acres. <br /> 1.4 Commodity to be Mined <br /> The site (Stage 1 and Stage 2) has approximately 1 million tons of sand and gravel that will <br /> be mined from the property to provide materials for future projects. The projected duration of <br /> the commercial mining activities is 6 years. <br /> 1.5 Legal Description of the Permitted Area <br /> The legal description of the Permitted (Affected)Area is provided in Section 2.0. <br /> 1.6 Dewatering Pipeline <br /> Scott Contracting, Inc. has a temporary license agreement (Attachment B) with the owners <br /> of the neighboring Shideler property (Parcel 217908100527) to the east that will allow Scott <br /> Contracting, Inc. to bury a 12" pipeline that will collect and convey pumped dewatered water <br /> to the Colorado River. Any disturbance associated with this dewatering pipeline will be <br /> temporary and the disturbed areas will be revegetated as the pipeline is installed. <br /> 2 <br />
