Rifle -Travel Pit #1 A,,g,,,f 2021 <br /> 1 .0 General Operation Information <br /> IHC Scott(Scott Contracting, Inc.) is applying for a Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br /> Safety(DRMS) Construction Material, Regular(112) Operation Reclamation Permit for the <br /> Rifle Gravel Pit#1. The Rifle Gravel Pit#1 is located approximately 1-mile northeast of Rifle, <br /> Colorado. <br /> 1.1 Applicant/Operator <br /> IHC Scott, Inc. (dba Scott Contracting, Inc.) <br /> Tony Roberts <br /> 9200 E. Mineral Avenue, Suite 400 <br /> Centennial, Colorado 80112 <br /> troberts@scottcontracting.com <br /> 1.2 Operation Name (pit, mine or site name) <br /> Rifle Gravel Pit#1 <br /> 1.3 Permitted Acreage <br /> 1.3.1 New DRMS 112 Permit <br /> The Rifle Pit#1 Property Boundary (parcel) is 58.7 acres. Table 1 provides a summary of <br /> the Permitted Areas (as depicted in Exhibit B, Figure 3). Note the Affected Area is <br /> equivalent to the Permitted Area. <br /> Table 1. Permitted Areas <br /> Dewatering Pipeline Construction (temporary disturbance _ 0.96 <br /> Stage 1 Mining Area, includes Operations Pad Limits of Disturbance 18.04 <br /> Stage 2 Mining Area Limits of Disturbance 8.70 <br /> Total 27.70 <br /> 1.3.1.1 Planned Affected (Excavation) Area <br /> Exhibit B, Figure 3 depicts the Permitted Area, Affected Area, and 200-foot offset from <br /> Affected Area. As noted in Exhibit B, Figure 3, the planned Affected Area is the same as <br /> the Permitted Area boundaries on all sides and amounts to a total of 27.70 acres. <br /> The proposed mining will occur in two stages (Stages 1 and 2). The Permitted (Affected) <br /> Area during Stage 1 is 18.04 acres and 8.70 acres during Stage 2. A 12" dewatering <br /> pipeline will be installed during the site preparation phase to collect water from the <br /> dewatering wells and floor of the mining pit and convey it to the Colorado River. The land <br /> disturbance associated with the dewatering pipeline is temporary and estimated at 0.96 <br /> acres (3,622 linear feet with a 5-foot offset on both sides of the pipeline). The total Permitted <br /> (Affected) Area is provided in Table 1 and amounts to approximately 27.70 acres. <br /> 1 <br />
