[6.4.21(8 and 9)] Ground Water Information
The GTM is contained within a commercial grade metal building that will be
constructed according to commercial building code including foundation and concrete
floor design. Groundwater will not be impacted or intercepted by the GTM.
[6.4.21(10 and 11)] Surface Water Information
Exhibit E includes the engineered drainage plan for stormwater runoff as
roadside ditches. All milling and processing will occur inside the commercial metal
building. Site runoff will be limited to only that storm water during precipitation
events or snow melt events.
[6.4.21(12)] Water Quality Monitoring Plan
The GTM is a no discharge operation therefore, a water quality monitoring
plan is not provided nor is a CO Discharge Permit required.
[6.4.21(13)] Climate
No liquid containment systems are planned or open to the environment.
[6.4.21(14)] Geochemical Data and Analysis
No mining, on-site solution containment systems or facilities or disposal of
material will occur on site. Feedstock material and byproducts will be stockpiled on
site in concrete containment structures in limited quantities.
Cynthia Parnow, geochemistry at Knight Piesold, conducted geochemical
characterization of the feedstock material. The report is provided herein as Appendix
D.
All feedstock material brought to the mill will be hauled from the mill after
processing as construction material byproduct, waste for disposal or precious metal
containing concentrate. No material will be disposed of on-site neither will any
material be subject to long term weathering on-site. The anticipated life of any
stockpiles is a maximum of 14 days. Concentrate will be sealed in 55-gallon drums.
[6.4.21(15)] Construction Schedule Information
The mill and storage bins will be constructed within nine months of mill
approval, weather permitting. Feedstock will not be transported to the mill until the
mill and storage bin construction is completed.
[6.4.21(16)] Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC)
Construction of the mill building, an industrial metal building, does not
warrant an extraordinary QAQC program.
[6.4.21(17)] Plant Growth Medium
Reclamation will not require revegetation. If necessary, the grounds around
the building will be graded and re-graveled in preparation for sale as a
commercial/industrial property.
[6.4.21(18)] Wildlife Protection
Colorado Parks and Wildlife was contacted January 19, 2021 for a site visit
and subsequent comments. The site visit has not been scheduled as of this
application submission. It will be provided immediately upon receipt.
