The bulk mineralogy by XRD/CEC, as well as the reconciliation between the QEMSCAN <br /> calculated element assay and the measured ICP value are presented in Appendix A. It is <br /> noted that the swelling clay concentrations determined by CEC are higher than those <br /> determined by QEMSCAN. The CEC method will be more reliable to detect differences in <br /> swelling clay content. The FW-231 Stope sample exhibited the sticky behavior of a sample <br /> with higher swelling clay during preparation, indicating that the swelling clay determined by <br /> QEMSCAN is most likely low. The galena and sphalerite concentrations are higher than the <br /> Virginius Master Composite, Hanging Wall Variability Composite and Yellow Rose Blend <br /> Variability Composite analyzed previously.
