-':M
OUR,AY 5lLV ER,1'AWS
Response: There is a process water storage tank that is 18,000 gallons. This tank is
sufficient to contain the entire circuit of process water, which is approximately 66%of the
tank volume (i.e., less than 12,000 gallons). The process water storage tank is located in
the mill filter building outside of the reagent room area. The mill process water will be
further discussed in TR-15 Revenue Mill Recertification.
17. It is assumed that "Pronto' is some form of a computer system designed for the
trackingof materials. Please provide more information regarding this system and
how it works.
Response: Pronto is a database used to track company supplies and inventories—similar
to SAP. It is an application that integrates accounting and operations to optimize
processes.
18. While the chemicals in storage tanks may be able to be drained, and returned to
their original packaging and returned to the manufacturer, once the chemicals are
mixed into solution they will not be able to be returned to the manufacturer. How
will the disposal of the solution be handled? Please provide a table of the volume
of solution of each of the chemicals that would need to be drained, stored and
disposed of as a hazardous material pursuant to Rule 6.4.21 (6)(b)(i). Include
volumes and draining methods of piping. The reclamation cost estimate is not
being updated at this time, however these details will be necessary to ensure an
accurate estimate can be performed.
Response: Properly planned shutdown of the milling process would require the
reagents to be run through the process coincidental with the depletion of ore
delivery. However, should material remain in storage tanks, pipes, sumps, etc. the
tanks and piping will be drained. The drained liquid will be properly characterized
and will be disposed of in accordance with RCRA and Colorado Hazardous Waste
Regulations. Please see the attached Table 7 that has the volumes of tanks and
piping in the reagent room to be drained. However, it is not likely that there will be
this volume in the reagent room when the mill is shut down.
19. Similar to Item 15,b of this review, once chemicals and solutions are drained and
removedfrom the site how will the equipment be cleaned? Response to #14 of
adequacy review #1 indicated the equipment will be sold or recycled however it
needs to be detoxified first.
12 Pa :
