18 May 2021 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> o Pond identification signs were prominently displayed in the vicinity of the ponds visited and were <br /> in adequate repair at the time of inspection. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3);Drainage 4.03.1(4)14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br /> and(6)14.03.2(5)and(6);Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7) <br /> o The Haul Road was in good repair and well maintained at the time of inspection. <br /> o Access roads were passable throughout the site. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES—Rule 4.04 <br /> o The Ash Pit exhibited a firm flat surface throughout. A number of benches are being utilized. No <br /> issues were observed requiring attention at the time of inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE—Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6;Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid <br /> and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. Spillways and <br /> flumes were accessible at the time of inspection. The following pond systems were visited: <br /> a) Impoundment H was holding a small amount of water. <br /> b) Johnson 1 OR appeared full. <br /> c) East Pyeatt system was discharging a small amount of water. There is a delta at East <br /> Pyeatt 91 that requires dredging and sediment at the inlet of East Pyeatt 42 that also <br /> requires removal. The spillway appeared clear. <br /> d) Middle Pyeatt dry at the time of inspection. <br /> e) Oak 91 was holding water and not discharging. <br /> f) Oak 2 was dry. <br /> g) Coyote,the large MSHA pond was holdings small amount of clear water and not <br /> discharging. <br /> h) Middle Flume 93 was full at the time of inspection and was not discharging. A stand of <br /> cattails is growing at approximately 15 feet from inlet in a sediment plug. A survey of <br /> the pond for sediment is scheduled. <br /> i) East Flume Pond was dry at the time of inspection. <br /> j) East Middle Flume 91 Pond holding water and not discharging. <br /> k) No Name 92 held water No Name 9 4 and 95 were discharging clear water at the time of <br /> inspection. <br /> 1) West Flume pond was dry at the time of inspection. As the pond tends increasingly to be <br /> dry this may be a pond to consider removing. <br /> m) Deacon ponds were dry at the time of inspection. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br />
