RULE 2 PERMITS
C-04-04: Depth to Gb seam base is 637.7 feet. Total depth 774.5 feet
1. The pH for the entire hole is between 5.7 and 8.9.
2. The SAR from 0 to 637.7 feet is less than 15
3. The EC for the entire hole is less than 12.
C-04-14: Depth to Gb seam base is 628 feet. Total depth 450.3 feet
1. The pH for the entire hole is between 5.7 and 8.1.
2. The SAR for the shallow overburden is less than 15 except for a zone between 112.5 and
151.7 feet (39.2 feet). Below this zone to total depth, the SAR is less than 15.
3. The EC for the entire hole is less than 12.
C-04-25: Depth to the Gb seam base is 598.3 feet. Total depth 760.7 feet
1. This hole has two zones above the Gb seam with a pH less than 5. These are from 10 -
21 feet (11 feet) and 577.2 - 584.8 feet (7.6 feet). The rest of the hole has a pH between
5 and 9.
2. The SAR to a depth of 641 feet is less than 15.
3. The EC for the entire hole is less than 12.
C-04-36: Depth to the Gb seam base is 632.55 feet. Total depth 750.7 feet
1. The pH for the entire hole is between 5.3 and 8.2.
2. The SAR above the Gb seam is less than 15.
3. The EC above the Gb seam is less than 12.
C-05-26: Depth to the Gb seam base is 183.8 feet. Total depth 658.0 feet
1. The ph for this hole above the Gb seam is between 5 and 9.
2. The SAR above the Gb seam is less than 15.
3. The EC above the Gb seam is less than 12.
C-05-32: Depth to Gb seam base is 396.4 feet. Total depth 818.2 feet.
1. The ph for this hole above the Gb seam is between 5 and 9, except for one layer from
167.8 feet to 173.6 feet (5.8 feet) that has a pH of 4.4.
2. The SAR is less than 15 from 0 to 396.4 feet.
3. The EC from 0 to 396.4 feet is less than 12.
The total length of overburden core collected above the Gb seam in the Collom mine area is 3,076.75 feet.
Examining the overburden data for non-compliance pH with respect to the Colowyo reporting
requirements to the Division, the total length is 24.4 feet. This is only 0.8% of the total length recovered
and analyzed for pH.
For SAR, the total length not in compliance with the Colowyo reporting requirements is 39.2 feet, which
is 1.3% of the total length. There is no EC non-compliance layers of the total 3,076.75 feet.
Based on the physio -chemical analysis, the overburden above the Gb seam was found to contain no
significant issues when compared against the current Colowyo reporting requirements to the Division.
The anticipated root and aquifer zones within the regraded overburden of the Collom permit expansion
area should be of suitable quality due to the following:
There is a limited amount of unsuitable overburden material when compared to the amount of
suitable overburden material within the Collom Pit area.
