Mr. Wade Wymore represented GCC <br /> Energy and accompanied the inspector on site. Joel Riggins of GCC met us at one of the locations in the field as <br /> well. <br /> Covid protocols are still being followed. The weather was cool and clear. The area had received precipitation <br /> over the previous couple of days. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Mine records were checked in the mine office at the end of the inspection. "Availability of Records"form <br /> is attached to this report. GCC needs to file 4th quarter 2020 and first quarter 2021 subsidence observation letters. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Both the East pond and West pond at King I were dry on the surface. Based upon the sediment level staff <br /> within the West pond,there is still adequate sediment storage volume available in the West pond. The <br /> embankments have adequate vegetation and no concerns were noted with either pond. A Western tanager bird was <br /> observed on the West pond embankment. <br /> Ditches throughout King I were in good condition and functioning well. SAES along the King I entrance road are <br /> in good condition and functional. The operator has replaced the straw logs along the west side of the King I <br /> entrance road. <br /> The King II sediment pond was holding a very small, shallow pool of water at the pond riser area. This volume of <br /> water is very minimal and feet below the discharge elevation. The embankments of the King II sediment pond are <br /> well vegetated and stable. <br /> The Ditches at the King II facilities are in good shape and functional.
