Creek monitoring point WSSF3 exceeds the SIN PHC prediction its important to
recognize that this location also receives drainage from the Yoast Mine (C-1994-082).
The Yoast Mine was permitted approximately 12 years after SIN and the
contributions from Yoast were not considered at the time of the SIN PHC
predictions. Therefore, a more meaningful comparison of the current TDS at WSSF3
would be to the 2118 mg/L value predicted for WSSF3 in the Yoast Mine PHC. The 945
mg/L average TDS measured in 2020 remains nearly 1200 mg/L less than the
predicted post mine concentration and indicates that neither operation has had a
significant impact on the potential use of these surface waters for agriculture or
livestock purposes.
