Based on an in-depth study and field experience, the native wildlife prefer steep, rocky, open, and escape
terrain with good forage and little tree cover. No evergreen trees will be planted. There may be some natural
propagation of evergreen trees into the seeded area, or the Operator may choose to plant them voluntarily, but they
are not part of this Reclamation Plan.
Weed Control during Reclamation
A weed monitoring survey will be conducted at the site in May or early June of each year when state and county
listed noxious weed species can be most easily identified. The survey will concentrate on species listed in the
Colorado Noxious Weed Act, including List "A", "B", and "C" species, and in accordance with the Clear Creek County
Noxious Weed Management and Enforcement Plan (Ordinance #11-A).
The Operator will implement an integrated weed management plan during reclamation activities until the
reclamation permit is released. This plan may be developed in conjunction with the Clear Creek County Weed
Management Office. The integrated weed management plan may include elements such as mowing, tillage,
grazing, biological controls, spraying, and hand pulling in order to achieve effective control.
 TETRA TECH P a g e 5 7
