14 April 2021 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3);Drainage 4.03.1(4)14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br /> and(6)14.03.2(5)and(6);Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7) <br /> o Main haul roads were damp in spots,in good repair and well maintained at the time of inspection. <br /> o Access roads were slippery and rutted in some areas. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES—Rule 4.04 <br /> o The Ready Line appeared orderly at the time of inspection. <br /> o The Ash Pit exhibited a soft surface in places. No issues were observed requiring attention at the <br /> time of inspection. The upper portion of the ash pit is reaching its fill limit. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE—Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6;Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid <br /> and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. The following <br /> pond systems were visited or observed from the nearest accessible road: <br /> a) East Pyeatt Pond 91 was full with mud from pumping N Pit. The pond will be dredged as <br /> soon as possible. <br /> b) East Pyeatt Pond 92 was full and exhibited a significant delta at the pond inlet. The pond <br /> will be dredged as soon as possible. <br /> c) East Pyeatt 3 was full and discharging clear water. <br /> d) Middle Pyeatt was dry at the time of inspection. <br /> e) Coyote,the large MSHA pond held water as observed from the road. <br /> f) Middle Flume 93 was full, and not discharging at the time of inspection. <br /> g) Oak Ponds were observed from the road above as the road to the ponds was not <br /> accessible at the time of inspection. OakPond 91 appeared approximately half full and <br /> Oak Pond 92 appeared dry. <br /> h) Johnson 10 R full and discharging clear water. <br /> i) The No Name system was holding water and No Name#5 was full and discharging water. <br /> j) Deal Pond 92 was dry at the time of inspection <br /> k) West Horse Pond held water and exhibits a significant delta. <br /> 1) Lower Horse Pond was dry. <br /> TOPSOIL—RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> o No instability or Tilling were noted on the observed topsoil piles. Piles appeared to be marked <br /> appropriately and adequately vegetated. <br /> o Topsoil has been placed in burms along the I Pit. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—RULE 4.14 <br /> o Backfilling and grading has not yet commenced for the 2021 field season as the soil remains <br /> unworkable. <br /> o Reclamation consists of benched overburden hauls awaiting grading. <br /> REVEGETATION-Rule 4.15 <br /> General Requirements 4.15.1; Use of Species 4.15.2, Grazing 4.15.5 <br /> o Reclamation and revegetation appeared to be progressing adequately. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />
