Mr. WadeWymore of GCC Energy <br /> accompanied the inspection. Records were inspected at the mine office. <br /> The weather was cool and hazy.The weather was dry but the site had a thin layer of patchy snow throughout. <br /> Wade confirmed that the area had received several small snowfalls the previousl week. <br /> AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION—Rule 4.17: <br /> The county road, CR 120,had recently been watered at the beginning of the inspection.No dust was <br /> observed from the road. <br /> "Windows"in the stacker tube openings were effective and no dust was observed blowing from the stackers or <br /> coal stockpiles. <br /> The operator noted that the area has been getting some moisture over the preceding week. As such,the ground <br /> surface was damp, and dust was not a concern at the time of the inspection. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Mine records were checked at the Mine office. The records form accompanies this report. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Deer tracks are noted around perimeter areas of the King I and King II facilities. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Both the East and West sediment ponds at King I were snow covered with a thin layer of snow. Mr. <br /> Wymore indicated that with the recent moisture GCC likely would not clean sediment from either pond until <br /> things dry out later in the summer.
