EXHIBIT L
RECLAMATION COSTS
The following Reclamation Cost estimate is provided based on
the assumption that disturbance that the entire 47 . 50 acre mined
area would need to be resoiled and graded and that no more the
1500 feet of highwall sloping would need to be completed. The
mine working face (300 ft) will average 15 feet high and would
need cut/fill sloped at 6.25 yd/lft . Finish sloping on the 1200
feet of partially backfilled 2 : 1 slopes at 3 . 65 yd/lft to
complete the 3 : 1 slope . The 47 . 5 acres will then be resoiled
with an average of 6 inches of soil using a scraper to spread it
and a blade to shape the seed bed. At that time we will have to
respread 38, 317 cubic yards of topsoil and move 6, 255 cy of
material to complete sloping. The table below outlines the
various areas of disturbance at the time explained above . A D6N
dozer is used to do the cut/fill sloping, a 631G scraper will
resoil and complete bank sloping and a 140G Blade is used to
shape the reclamation area. The mobilization haul distance is
20 . 0 miles at a average speed of 45 mph. The revegetation cost
is not included since the area will be returned to the landowner
for crop planting.
STAGE TOTAL SOIL DEPTH
NEEDING RESOILING 47.5 6
REVEGETATION AREA 47.5
RESOIL @ 6° 38,31 7 CUBIC YARDS
SLOPING 6,255 CUBIC YARDS
ESTIMATED UNIT COSTS FOR RECLAMATION ITEMS:
Unit Cost
1 .
