The folds of fabricated panels that are visible shall be examined for damage,particularly <br /> at kinks in the folds. <br /> F. All material shall be stored on smooth clean dry level surfaces such that it shall not be <br /> damaged,become dirty, or get wet internally. <br /> G. Rolls shall be stored no more than three high and with sufficient space between ends such <br /> that access is available to read identification labels. <br /> H. Depending on the size of project,material shall be stored in a safe central location then <br /> staged at appropriate intermediate locations for deployment. <br /> Fabricated panels shall ultimately be placed in the correct location and in the correct <br /> orientation for deployment as shown on the protective packaging or in contained <br /> deployment instructions. <br /> 1.09 Warranty <br /> A. Furnish a written warranty from the geomembrane manufacturer for a useful life of not <br /> less than 20 years from the date of installation, covering the geomembrane liner material <br /> under the specified operating conditions. <br /> B. Furnish as a minimum,a 2-year warranty from the Geomembrane Installer for the <br /> installation against defects. <br /> C. Such written warranties shall provide for the repair and/or replacement of any defect or <br /> defective areas of geomembrane, or compensation for defective work,upon written <br /> notification and demonstration by Owner of the specific nonconformance of the <br /> geomembrane or installation with the Contract Specifications. Compensation for <br /> defective material shall be provided to Owner for the estimated cost to Owner at that time <br /> of supplying and installing material to a clean, dry, and unencumbered condition by a <br /> third-party Installer. <br /> D. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining any necessary guarantees or certifications <br /> from geomembrane manufacturer and Geomembrane Installer and submitting them to <br /> Engineer and Owner prior to installation of geomembrane liner. <br /> PART 2- PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 Geomembrane Material <br /> A. The material for the geomembrane shall be textured(both sides)45-mil DuraSkrim® <br /> reinforced polyethylene,or Engineer approved alternate. <br /> l. Reinforcement shall consist of a heavy encapsulated 9 X 9 weft inserted 1000 <br /> denier polyester. <br /> B. Reinforced polyethylene geomembrane shall be manufactured to provide finished product <br /> free from holes,pin holes,bubbles,blisters,excessive gels,undispersed resins and/or <br /> carbon black, or contamination by foreign matter. <br /> Section 026617-Geomembrane Page 4 <br />
