Material shall be warranted against defects for a period of 1-year from the date of the <br /> geotextile installation. <br /> B. Installation shall be warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of 1-year from <br /> the date of geotextile completion. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 Geotextile <br /> A. Shall be manufactured of new, first quality products designed and manufactured <br /> specifically for the purpose of filtering out soil fines while maintaining good drainage <br /> characteristics. <br /> B. Shall be so produced as to be free of tears, punctures, or any sign of contamination by <br /> foreign matter. Any such defect shall be repaired in accordance with the manufacturer's <br /> recommendations. Geotextile must be uniform in thickness with a maximum 10 percent <br /> deviation from the nominal thickness. Edges shall be straight and free of nicks and cuts. <br /> C. Shall have a minimum roll width of 15-feet. <br /> D. Shall be Mirafi 18ON nonwoven needle-punched polypropylene or an approved alternate <br /> material which meets the following requirements: <br /> 1. Material: Nonwoven needle punched polypropylene. <br /> 2. Mass/Unit Area: ASTM D5261, 8 oz/yd2. <br /> 3. Grab Tensile Strength: ASTM D4632, 205 pounds. <br /> 4. Elongation at Failure: ASTM D4632, 50 percent. <br /> 5. Coefficient of Permittivity-k: ASTM D4491, 1.4 sec-'. <br /> 6. Apparent Opening Size: ASTM D4751, 80 mm. <br /> 7. CBR Puncture Strength: ASTM D6241, 500 pounds. <br /> 8. Trapezoid Tear Strength: ASTM D4533, 80 pounds. <br /> 9.
