Groundwater—Specific Requirements
The operation will not affect groundwater quality on or off the site. The operation will comply
with State groundwater quality standards. Due to the groundwater being commingled with
stormwater and product wash water prior to being discharged, stormwater and groundwater
discharge quality standards are being monitored per the approved CDPS discharge permit for
the site, Permit No. COG 501574. The CDPS discharge permit is attached for your reference.
The mining and reclamation may affect the groundwater table surrounding the mine site. The
proposed mitigation efforts to minimize these impacts are to install a slurry wall around the
perimeter of each cell to maintain groundwater levels during the mining, and a perimeter drain if
needed to convey groundwater around the lined reservoir after the pit side liner is installed.
Prowers Aggregate Operators, LLC proposes that they continue to monitor groundwater levels
through both onsite and offsite monitoring wells that they have installed, or have access to
before, during, and after the mining and reclamation is complete so that impacts to the
groundwater table, from this mining operation, can be identified and addressed. It is the intent of
Prowers Aggregate Operators, LLC to operate responsibly and to mitigate any damage to wells
that is directly attributable to the mining and reclamation of this site.
Reclamation Timetable
The reclamation of Phase 1 is complete. Phases 2-9, and the other disturbed areas are
estimated to be reclaimed according to the following sequence and timeline:
Phase/ Location Phase/ Estimated Time Estimated Total
Sequence Location Required to Reclamation Time
Area Reclaim Phases (years)
acres ears
Parking Area on the 6.25 Reclamation Complete 0
North Side of the Site/
Disturbed Areas
Adjacent to the Pit Road
West of Phase 1 /
Along the Ditch to the
River North of the Pit
1 36.31 Reclamation Complete 0
2 75.09 1 1
3 128.09 5 6
4 237.82 9.5 15.5
5 164.44 2.5 18
6 195.02 4.5 22.5
7 121.68 3.75 26.25
8 32.66 0.75 27
9 91.38 2.75 29.75
West Wash Plant and 41.29 0.5 30.25
Sediment Pond Area/
Parcel B Area (Includes estimated time
required for seed to
germinate and become
established
M Prowers Aggregate Operators, LLC.
' JeT Consulting,Inc.
