EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
1) The site is a reservoir bed with excess (nuisance) sediment. The proposed activity
is the removal of a small fraction of this sediment during low water. Seasonal
filling of the reservoir will completely eliminate the proposed impact. The
extraction site has no vegetation and will not be re-vegetated after the operation.
Between extraction and reservoir filling, all pit walls will be left at a maximum
steepness of 3:1 (3 feet of horizontal distance for every 1 foot of depth).
Maximum depth will be 4 feet.
The access path will have vegetation removed and replaced in compliance with
our Nationwide 33 permit as described in Exhibit C part g.
2) There are no expected costs to reclaim the extraction site based on this proposal.
Reclamation of the access road would require, at maximum, removal of the
culvert and regrading of the banks of the small drainage channel in the alluvium,
and replanting of willows. This reclamation could be accomplished by an
independent contractor hired by the State of Colorado. The expected cost is 2
hours of excavator work at $250 per hour and a $2,000 mobilization fee, for a
total of$2,500.
