September 3, 2020 C-1981-035/King Coal Mine JHB <br /> From the aerial photo, it appears that the King II entry road SAE, by the gravel storage area, silt fence is intact. <br /> Ditches throughout the King 11 facilities area appear functional and not blocked. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> At King 11,haul trucks were observed entering the site to be loaded. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES —Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> King I: The refuse disposal area has end dumped piles of coal refuse placed on the upper pile. Some of <br /> the piles have begun to be graded out on the west side of the pile. A small pile of refuse is end dumped on the east <br /> end of the lower pile. The loader was parked at the time of the inspection <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> Storage areas and equipment storage at the King 11 facilities area are well organized and contained in <br /> appropriate areas. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3: <br /> The topsoil stockpile at the east end of the upper RDA at King I was well vegetated with no signs of gully <br /> formation or any recent disturbances. The growth media pile at King I near the former facilities area has an intact <br /> berm around it, though not much in the way of vegetative cover.
