DRMS Comment: Provide the total job hours for the removal of all portal structures on site. <br /> OSMI Response: The total job hours for the removal of all portal structures and safeguarding <br /> underground openings has been provided in Exhibit L. <br /> Vent Shafts <br /> 15. DRMS Comment:Regarding the vent shaft foundations, AM-1, D-29 states that the <br /> foundations will be re-used for final closure however all other reclamation plans state that a <br /> 6"slab is to be poured over a steel plate. Please clarify if the existing pad canlwill be reused <br /> and if not how will it be removed/disposed of. <br /> OSMI Response: See updated Reclamation Plan(Attachment 4). <br /> 16. DRMS Comment: Will only the Monogahela escape shaft have a refuge made of two 40 x <br /> 10'sea cans stacked? While the 960 Raise and Yellow Rose Shafts only have a shaft house <br /> and lift housing. <br /> OSMI Response: The Monogahela escape shaft will be the only shaft with a refuge chamber <br /> constructed of two stacked sea containers. The 960 Raise and Yellow Rose Shafts will only be <br /> equipped with a shaft house and lift housing. <br /> 17. DRMS Comment:How will the Governor's Basin structures (2 sea cans-20'x10'lift <br /> housing, 2 seacans-40'x10'refuge and 16'H x 121 x 12' W Steel structure on Beams <br /> covered with Corrugated Metal-shaft house) be removed?Please give a brief description and <br /> an updated User Provide Cost for removal of each structure. <br /> OSMI Response: The Governor Basin structures will be cut up and placed down the shaft(see <br /> response to Item 6). It is anticipated that this task will require approximately 40 hours to <br /> complete. <br /> 18. DRMS Comment:Provide the anticipated total job hours for cutting the casing for each of <br /> the three vent shafts. <br /> OSMI Response: The anticipated total job hours for cutting the casing for each of the three vent <br /> shafts is 10 hours. Exhibit L has been updated to reflect this estimate. <br /> 19. DRMS Comment:Provide the anticipated total job hours for placing the steel plate and <br /> pouring a 6 inch cement cap on each of the three vent shafts. <br /> OSMI Response: The anticipated total job hours for this task is 24 hours for each vent shaft. <br /> Exhibit L has been updated to reflect this estimate. <br /> 131Page <br />
