would be preliminary at this time but are estimated to be 520 square feet in total for the
underground warehouse doors. These structures will be cut into sufficient sizes to allow for
placement underground. Scrap metal will be removed,wood will be removed and burned on site,
and equipment,water piping, and electrical components will be removed and sold. All remaining
structures will remain in place.
3. DRMS Comment:For the Waste Storage Pad&Secondary Containment is the concrete slab
reinforced? What size are connexs within the building and can they be skidded for removal
or require being picked? What is the height of the building?
OSMI Response: Yes,the concrete slab is reinforced. The connexs are 8 feet by 20 feet, and
they can be skidded offsite for removal. The peak height of the building is 12'4."
4. DRMS Comment: The Thickener Tank and Piping will need to be cut up for disposal, what
is the total linear feet of cuts that will be required to break down this structure into
manageable pieces?Alternatively you may supply the Division with an updated User
Provided Cost for removal of this item.
OSMI Response: The Thickener Tank will be demolished,using approximately 63 cuts
comprising approximately 25 linear feet per section, and placed underground in the mill gallery
area.
5. DRMS Comment: The following buildings are to have equipment/contents removed;
Administration, Air Compressor, Rail Yard/Battery Charger (in addition to tracks),
Underground Shop and Warehouse, and Concentrator and Filter. Specify the material type
to be removed, disposal location and volume per buildings.
OSMI Response: Materials will be placed in the mill gallery.Dimensions of each building are
listed in Exhibit L,Demolition Work. The 200HP, 250HP, and 300HP air compressors will be
removed offsite. All scrap metal will be removed from the mine site. The Conveyor belting and
used tires will also be removed from the mine site, and timber used on the surface will be
removed and sold.
6. DRMS Comment:Specify how the Ventilation Fan will be removed and include a User
Provided Cost for the removal.
OSMI Response: The ventilation fan will be unbolted, sold, and shipped offsite. A line item for
the ventilation fan is included in Exhibit L(Attachment 3).
7. DRMS Comment:For the Materials Storage Connexs include a User Provided Cost for
dismantling, loading and hauling the connexs offsite. What equipment will be required?
