Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Seneca Mine, C1982057, operated by Seneca Property LLC. Miranda <br /> Kawcak of Peabody Inc, was present throughout the inspection. The inspection was conducted,the images and the <br /> report prepared by me, Robin Reilley of the DRMS. The weather was hazy due to wildfire smoke with the <br /> temperature at approximatly 90 degrees F. The ground was dry. The roads were in acceptable condition. <br /> Although the entire site was accessible; due to fire hazard and dry vegetation, the inspection was conducted in <br /> proximity to the main haul road to reduce risk of igniting a fire. <br /> PERMITTING ACTIONS: <br /> o Permit Renewal RN5 proposed <br /> o SL6 and SL7 in process <br /> OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE ITEMS <br /> The following numbered adequacy items were identified during the bond release inspections for resolution before <br /> the proposal of a release decision by the Division. <br /> 1. Damaged and partially clogged culvert providing drainage into T5 requires repair and cleaning out. <br /> The culvert had been cleaned out. <br /> 2. Significant rill in constructed drainage below Stock Tank 5, parcel 22 (photo). <br /> 3. Metal debris from a GPS ground control point in parcel 38 should be removed. <br /> This item has been resolved, and all debris removed. <br /> 4. Unsecured netting at top of surge tank in parcel 137 between shrub plot and above Pond 17 should be <br /> removed for the safety of wildlife. <br /> 5. Downed fencing in shrub plot(parcel 39)requires removal. <br /> This item has been resolved. See photo 2, below. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> No offsite air quality issues or hydrologic impacts were observed at the time of inspection. Reclamation was <br /> observed to be stable with a diverse mix of well established vegetation. No expanses of bare areas or significant <br /> weed infestations were noted at time of inspection.
