26 August 2020 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> o Pond identification signs were prominently displayed in the vicinity of the ponds visited and were <br /> in adequate repair at the time of inspection. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.031(3)14.03.2(3);Drainage 4.031(4)14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.031(5) <br /> and(6)I4.03.2(5) and(6);Reclamation 4.031(7)14.03.2(7) <br /> o Main haul roads dry,in good repair and well maintained at the time of inspection. <br /> o Access roads were passable throughout the site. <br /> o Roads were being watered at the time of inspection. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> o Road building for N pit is underway, and spoil is being hauled from the N pit to areas needed for <br /> fill on the new haul road. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES—Rule 4.04 <br /> o The Ready Line appeared orderly at the time of inspection. <br /> o The Ash Pit exhibited a dry firm surface. A number of benches are being utilized. Nothing <br /> required maintenance at the time of inspection. <br /> o The area where blasting materials are kept was secure and all storage containers were locked. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE—Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Silty ation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures <br /> 4.05.7, 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage- <br /> Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. Spillways and <br /> flumes for the most part were inaccessible at the time of inspection. The following pond systems were <br /> visited or observed from the nearest accessible road: <br /> a) The East Pyeatt system held water and was discharging at the time of inspection. <br /> b) Oak system was observed. Oak#1 held water, was not discharging and Oak#2 was dry <br /> at the time of inspection. <br /> c) Coyote, the large MSHA pond was holding water. <br /> d) East Flume Pond was dry. <br /> e) East Middle Flume #1 Pond was holding clear water and was not discharging at the time <br /> of inspection. <br /> f) West Flume was dry at the time of inspection. <br /> g) Middle Flume#1 and#3 were holding water and not discharging. The water appeared <br /> turbid. <br /> h) The No Name system held water at the time of inspection. <br /> TOPSOIL—RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> o No instability,nor rilling or gullying were noted on the observed topsoil piles. Piles appeared to <br /> be marked appropriately and were vegetated. <br /> o Topsoil stripping in the N pit for 2020 is close to completion. <br /> o An insignificant quantity of topsoil has been placed this year. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—RULE 4.14 <br /> o An insignificant amount of backfilling and grading has occurred up to now this year. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br />
