17) (Optional) Please provide additional information about the Mine Plan:
There are 6 proiect areas-done in 5 phases:
1)Ridgetop Project Area: This is Phase One-our current and bonded area.
Within the 60 foot x 40 foot area of disturbance,we intend to remove all of the topsoil and overburden
to bedrock. This material will be 3 to 5-foot-thick and will be sorted into topsoil and smaller rocks into
one pile, with the larger rocks into another. Once we reach the granite bedrock,we will remove the clay
and vein material (approx. 6 to 8 feet-wide)that goes down into the granite to a total depth of forty-five
feet or less, depending on quality/quantity of material recovered.
Overburden will be moved to 3 distinct piles located 25 feet east of main dig area. One pile will consist
of medium to large rocks and the other 2 piles will be topsoil piled on a tarp. Topsoil has been seeded
and mulched with recommended seed mix, based on specs provided by the DRMS to enrich the soil until
it can be replaced and permanently reseeded.
Ridgetop Project Area Usage: 0.25 acres, which break down to...
Area of Disturbance=0.08
Tool Storage/Shade=0.01
Dirt/Rock Storage=0.04
Existing Access trails=0.12 (*note BLM has asked us NOT to reclaim 0.1 acres of the historic road since
we bonded-We are leaving this in here however in case that changes later.)
*Please note some areas noted above are larger than our current bond to allow some expanding and
delimiting of work zones
This is the end of Phase one (current operation).
This-is Phase Two-which consists of 2 Proposed Proiect areas
2)Siberia Project Area: This project area is focused primarily around the sealed, preexisting Siberia
Portal. It is our intention to reopen this portal, stabilized the existing 25 feet of workings, and continue
operations underground with only MSHA part 48 certified staff. BLM has insisted that minimal change
occur outside of the portal!!I There will be no dirt/rock storage or piles as ALL material removed from
the Siberia Portal will be taken off-site for sorting and processing. A small 15 foot x 20 foot support area
will be utilized around the portal grate.
Access will be via a 300 foot long preexisting trail from the established parking area/BLM trailhead.
Reclaimation-in-process will be used along this trail by seeding trail edges to establish a seed bank so
native grasses will overtake the trail when usage drops.
Siberia Project Proposed Area Usage:0.05 acres, which break down to...
Area of Disturbance=0.02 (portal and preexisting disturbance)
Support Area=0.01
Existing Access trails=0.02
