August 18, 2020 C-1981-028/Keenesburg Strip Mine RDZ <br />Sediment Pond 2; it is approximately 30 inches by 50 inches. <br />Ci;l"Ne"111 u�11�ID1i1/:�[K ►IJ�Ii11/:�[�A <br />The eastern portion of the northern boundary of the site was observed, and no signs of pollutant loading from the <br />mine site, or any other problems, were seen. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Most of the site was walked (all except northwest corner), and no erosion problems were seen. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Large amounts of cheat grass were seen in reclaimed areas, especially Areas 29 and 31. This is likely a <br />consequence of drought conditions at the site. <br />A strip of tall grass was seen at the south end of the B Pit. Within the pit where seeding has not been performed, <br />there is a large amount of pigweed. This plant (not noxious) was seen in other areas as well. <br />Rocky Mountain bee plants were seen in the eastern portion of Area 42, and blazing star plants were seen around <br />Sediment Pond 2. Neither plant is a problem. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />No problems were seen at the facilities area. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The entrance sign was in place but contained an old address.
