Danny Kipp and Mark Quimby of Coors Energy
Company (CEC) were at the office/shop, but did not accompany Rob on the inspection.
The weather was clear and hot. The ground was very dry. Mark indicated, during a brief conversation at the start
of inspection, that the site had not seen rain for many days, perhaps weeks.
Danny indicated that CEC plans to perform seeding operations around the first two weeks of October 2020. He
also stated that the seed came from Pawnee Buttes. Seeding equipment was seen at the facilities area.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1):
The 2019 AHR/ARR was not seen in the office, and this needs to be remedied by CEC in the near future. It
should be stored with the reports from past years or placed in another obvious spot. Otherwise, the records were in
good shape as listed at the end of this report.
FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18:
Many birds were seen and heard at the ponds. A fox carcass was lying in the vegetation by the Dugout Pond. Four
antelope were seen near Parcel 23, and they ran south as the inspector approached them.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Only small amounts of water (if any) were in the two ponds, and neither pond was discharging during the
inspection. There were no signs that they had discharged recently. As usual, they both contained large amounts of
riparian vegetation. No problems were observed with the two ponds except for a hole in the embankment at
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: I
Page 2 of 9
