NEWMONT
V e N'-•l.nr V'il1 1Li,„f 3'1.
clearly identify the locution and size of area yet to he stripped of growth medium to account for
this additional growth medium volume.
Newmont Response:
a. Drawing C-4b has been updated to label the stockpile as "1", and Table D-4 designates the same
stockpile as"1'
b. CC&V assumes that the Division is referring to stockpiles 32 and 33. Table D-4 has been updated
to separate stockpiles 32 and 33 as distinct stockpiles. Drawing C-4b has been updated to indicate
Stockpiles 32 and 33 as separate polygons. with volumes for each identified on the figure.
c. Table D-4 has been updated to identify 14 total growth media stockpiles.A footnote has been added
to Table D-4 indicating stockpiles that have been consolidated or used for reclamation purposes.
d. As approved in TR-1 15, CC&V has provided updates to Growth Media Storage Areas Table(AM-
1 1 Table 5-4 or AM-13 Table D-4) to the Division on an annual basis as an attachment to the M-
1980-2 4-4 Permit Annual Report. Several of the discrepancies are noted in stockpiles that were
established earl} in modern mine life(pre-2000). As site survey and data management technology
has improved. some discrepancies have been corrected, as reflected in the 2018 Cresson Project
Annual Report submission and the updated Table D-4 in Attachment 8.
e. Table D-4 has been updated to identify accurate volume and status for each existing growth medium
stockpile. A Supplemental "Figure 1" is provided with Attachment 8 to demonstrate how the
volume for each growth medium stockpile is determined and/or verified.
f A supplemental "Figure ?" is provided with Attachment 8 showing the areas of growth medium
stripping required for mine development proposed in Amendment 13. Stockpile destinations and
consolidation of existing growth media stockpiles may be determined by dynamic operational
factors, including, but not limited to, available haulage routes, mine sequencing and development,
and concurrent reclamation applications. When growth media stockpile construction or addition is
required,CC&V will utilize procedures approved in TR-1 15 to notify the Division of such changes.
DRMS Comment(italics):
29.
